What is Legionella

The Legionella is an environmental bacterium capable of surviving in a wide range of physical-chemical conditions. It can reproduce quite quickly between 37 and 42ºC. The micro-organism stays in lethargy at very low temperatures (<20ºC) and starts to multiply in very favourable temperature conditions (up to 60ºC). At temperatures higher than 70ºC the bacterium dies.
Cientific studies show that the Legionella can be destroyed in 1 minute at 70ºC. It is possible to reach these temperatures in the D.H.W. production, but it is not recommended to make the water circulate through the mains at more than 60ºC, due to the formation of incrustation, corrosion, to the risk of burns ant to extra energy cost.

The system Pastormaster guarantees in one only product the permanent desctruction both of the bacteria penetrating the installation and of the ones circulating through the mains, as well as the regulation of D.H.W. outlet temperature at a level in accordance with the regulations' requirements.
For a total effectiveness, it is important to eliminate the dead arms and the points with no water movement, to balance and assure a correct circulation of the whole network.
